After his below-par performance at the Criterium du Dauphiné, Jean-Christophe Peraud (Ag2r) had another major disappointment when he was far of the pace in the French TT championships. In the end, he abandoned the race.
"Like everyone else, I did not feel good," he said. "I suffered from the heat, but when I learned about the time gaps. I still took a mental beating and I preferred to stop. I need to recover. Obviously, this is not what I expected but now I hope that the form is coming quickly."
