Known for its ability to develop young talents, Ag2r have announced the signing of 20-year-old Quentin Jauregui. The Frenchman has mostly been known for his cyclo-cross skills and has been riding for the Roubaix team in 2014.
Ag2r have always played huge emphasis on the development of young talents and today they have taken the first steps in creating a new potential star. The team has signed Quentin Jauregui on a two-year contract and the 20-year-old will turn professional with the French team in 2015.
Jauregui has mostly been known for his cyclo-cross skills and is a former podium finisher at the junior world champhionships. On the road, he has shown great promise too by winning a stage of the Rhone-Alpes Isere Tour earlier this year. A few weeks ago he finished third in the big French one-day race La Polynormande that was loaded with WorldTour riders.
Jauregui is currently riding the Tour de l'Avenir where he finished 5th in yesterday's stage.
